Multi-Disciplinary Tutoring
We offer tutoring in all academic subjects, but our most in-demand subjects are English, Math, Science, and Test Prep.  We use Socratic methods to push students past the rote to become problem solvers.  Rather than feeding students answers, our tutors ask questions to lead students to their own understanding. In the fast-paced environment of competitive schools, students are often expected to understand how to integrate deep critical thinking into sophisticated forms. When students lack in either of these areas, they find themselves struggling to make the grades they desire. By providing clear strategies that students can apply to any subject or assignment, Trinity Tutoring helps students gain confidence in their own ideas.
Executive Function Coaching
Executive function and self-regulation skills enable students to plan, focus, and manage multiple tasks. Even exceptionally bright students can find it challenging to manage their assignments and schedules. They understand the material, but they often find themselves completing assignments at the last minute, lowering the quality of their graded work. Our executive function coaches meet with students and help them assess their goals to create meaningful motivation. We then help students create planning systems, organizational systems, and habits for success. We provide scaffolding to support students as they use new systems and commit to new habits.

Our executive function coaches also help students build confidence and manage anxiety. We practice centering exercises and specific test-taking strategies to create a sense of ease in high-stress situations. By building trust and giving authentic praise, we help our students access their power and potential.
Trinity Tutoring CEO, Trinity Babe, is a certified English Teacher who has worked as an educator for 11 years. Her experience in both Advanced Placement and Special Education allows her to expertly serve all populations of students.  She is knowledgable in the realm of IEPs, 504 paperwork, and neuropsych evaluations; she can help turn an overwhelming report into an effective plan of action.  Her work as a writing specialist and executive function coach has transformed the academic and personal lives of her clients.

witness Trinity use humor and enthusiasm to coax her along. She pushed

How do I know tutoring will help my child?

During our initial consultation, our Education Consultant will discuss your child's history and assess their need for a tutor. We will work with your family to match your child with a tutor who has the skills necessary to help them succeed.

Do you offer online tutoring?
​
We do offer online tutoring. It's a great option for busy students or students who live outside of the five boroughs.

How long are sessions?
​
Most sessions are one hour, though some are longer depending on student needs.
How many sessions does my child need each week?
​
Most students need one session per week per subject, though if they are struggling or learning new executive function skills, they may need support on a more frequent basis. Because it depends on each situation, we will discuss individualized plans during consultation.
Where are sessions held?
​
Most sessions are held in your home with an adult present, though tutors can also meet students in public libraries or other agreed-upon public places.

Who are the tutors?
​
Trinity Tutors come from diverse backgrounds, including former and current teachers and other subject-area specialists. All Trinity Tutors are experts in their academic subjects and are committed to treating students with respect while pushing them to be their best.
